Who We Are

Oscar Mitchell

Co-Founder & CEO

Oscar started his collegiate soccer career at Mars Hill University, a Division II program competing in the NCAA’s highly competitive South Atlantic Conference. A successful 4 year playing career resulted in 2 preseason all-conference first team selections, as well as 2 all-conference second team selections. Originally from Newcastle, England, Oscar also competed in the PDL (Premier Development League) with Houston FC and the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League) with Asheville City Soccer Club.

Oscar graduated from Mars Hill University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Upon completion, he was given the opportunity to work as an Assistant Coach at Mars Hill whilst obtaining a Master of Business Management degree.

“As a former collegiate soccer athlete and coach, I have experience on both sides of the game. Whilst coaching in North Carolina, it became apparent that many scholarship consultant services were solely monetary driven and were willing to represent any athlete regardless of ability. Often having to recruit players based on the word of these scholarship consultants and a few highlight videos, it was extremely difficult to source soccer players of a particular quality that I demanded. There needed to be a service that only represented the best athletes, a service in which coaches would feel confident that they were recruiting and committing to an athlete that would not only fulfill the needs of their roster but also improve it. This is why I created Elite Athletic Scholarships.”

Originally from Malmo, Sweden, Ian started his collegiate soccer career alongside Oscar at Mars Hill University. After playing two successful years in the South Atlantic Conference, he transferred to the highly ranked Missouri State University. A very well respected school in the US for both their academic and athletic programs, respectively. During his two years at Missouri, he competed at the highest level of college soccer in the Missouri Valley Conference, NCAA Division I. Ian played an integral role in helping them achieve the conference championship and was part of a team ranked top 10 in the nation.

He also competed in the PDL (Premier Development League) with Houston FC and had a spell coaching with Sporting Springfield Soccer Club. Ian graduated from Missouri State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

Ian Wu

Co-Founder & COO

“Having played as a D1 and D2 collegiate soccer athlete, I am well aware of the athletic and mental qualities needed to succeed. The experience and knowledge I attained during those years was invaluable. I too utilized the services of a scholarship consultant company, which was helpful, but all too often I was left to feel like I was just another client amongst a crowd of athletes. There was so much more that could have been done to help me throughout my journey. This is why I wanted to be a part of Elite Athletic Scholarships. To become the athlete’s support system and help guide them on all the twists and turns they may face during their adventure. EA Scholarships is an elite community and network of former players and coaches, who are always there for their athletes during and after their collegiate career.”
